GreenBox was founded on biblical principles to serve God and serve people. It’s important to collaborate, help one another, and create the change we want to see. This is the reason and the heart behind the launch of the GreenBox Gives program. Every month in 2018, our Greenbox family will be showcasing a local non-profit, making financial donations and providing opportunities to volunteer for our employees.
WHO QUALIFIES FOR GREENBOX GIVES?
We’re looking for non-profits who are invested in growing, encouraging, and empowering individuals. Must be recognized by the IRS as a nonprofit in good standing and who are located in Central, KY.
NOVEMBER – Mission Lexington
GreenBox gives continues this month by supporting Mission Lexington. Mission Lexington was developed to provide free medical & dental care to adults in Fayette County who do not have access to affordable health care. OCTOBER – YMCA of Central Kentucky
This October GreenBox Gives is proud to support the YMCA of Central Kentucky. The YMCA is dedicated to building programs for youth development, healthy living and social responsibility that promote strong families, character values, youth leadership, community development and international understanding. They make accessible the support and opportunities that empower people and communities to learn, grow and thrive by providing supportive and inclusive environments that nurture the potential of every youth and teen, improves the nation’s health and well-being and provides opportunities to give back and support neighbors

SEPTEMBER – Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lexington, KY
The GreenBox Gives, 12 months of Giving continues! In September, we are proud to support Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Lexington, KY. CASA serves Fayette, Bourbon, and Woodford Counties. We use trained and supervised volunteers to be the voice for abused and neglected children in the family court system.

AUGUST – Steps and Strides Equestrian Services, Inc.
The GreenBox Gives, 12 months of Giving continues! In August, we are proud to support Steps and Strides Equestrian Services, Inc. Steps and Strides provide equine activities for children and adults with disabilities in riding and working with horses our participants become stronger, more independent and confident in their every day lives.

JULY – All God’s Children
In July, we are proud to support All God’s Children. All God’s Children serves abused and neglected children through their residential treatment, independent living, daycare, and foster care programs.

JUNE – The Nest
In June, we are proud to support The Nest – Center for Women, Children and Families. The Nest is a safe and healing place for families in crisis. They have four programs that work together as a holistic approach to the whole family unit. Free Child Care, Domestic violence counseling, Legal Advocacy, Parenting Education and Support, and Crisis Care for Basic Human Needs for the struggling families.
Their purpose in the community is to give children a chance, victims a voice, and families a future.

MAY – Lexington Habitat for Humanity
The GreenBox Gives, 12 months of Giving continues! In May, we are proud to support the Lexington Habitat for Humanity! The Lexington’s Habitat for Humanity’s mission is to put God’s love into action. The Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities and hope.

APRIL – Step By Step
In April, we are proud to support Step By Step, Lexington! Step by Step’s mission is to improve the lives of young single mothers between the ages of 14 and 24 and their children through mentoring, support groups, and emergency service referrals.

MARCH – The Berea Home Village
The Berea Home Village offers the elderly an affordable option for staying in their own homes when transportation and household chores become difficult.

FEBRUARY – Sweet Blessings
In February, we are proud to support Sweet Blessings! They create custom birthday cakes for local children living in poverty, have a chronic illness, or special needs in the central, KY area. JANUARY – Revive Life House
We start the GreenBox Gives program by supporting the Revive Life House. The Revive Life House provides Christ-centered, evidence based, holistic, long term treatment for men battling with substance abuse. They have treatment homes located in both Nicholasville and Lexington, KY.
